Today we are speaking with the iconic founder and artist Pablo Stanley behind NFT Collections Robotos and Robopets. Pablo’s extensive experience in design with brands like Lyft and Invision has contributed to his ability to bring his UI/UX website into the NFT space and beyond.
Already having accomplished so much with his collections, he is praised for being transparent, innovative, and engaging with project holders. We are excited to learn more about his mission and plan for the near future.
How did you get into NFTs?
Mainly because of FOMO. My collectors call me “the OG” of illustration systems, which means I am a pioneer in designing systems to produce generative art collections, or in other words, producing large quantities of digital images using algorithms. After making these systems for years, I saw NFTs and felt a lot of FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out), and I started stalking Twitter and Opensea to see what other artists were doing. That night I got to work on getting my collection out there.
What has been the best part and most challenging of launching an NFT collection?
Engaging and creating meaningful connections with the community.
We are big fans of your work (most of us in the team are actually collectors of your collection!). For those not familiar with Robotos and Robopets can you talk to us about them? What is your mission?
Oh, thank you! I really appreciate it. Robotos is a collection of algorithmically generated droid characters minted as NFTs on the Ethereum blockchain. They were launched on August 2021, and right after that collection was released, the Robopets came as loyal companions of the Robotos. The whole mission is mainly to bring more smiles to the world.
What is next for Robotos?
Robopolis launch. Our biggest focus is opening our metaverse, where we will host treasure hunts, contests, art exhibitions, and other interactive experiences.
Robotos will be able to enjoy fun-filled adventures in different spaces within Robopolis. The community will be able to find beauty salons, coffee shops, and other token-gated buildings that will have unique experiences for collectors. There will be an upgrade shop in which Robotos and pets can upgrade their outfits, bottoms and get creatives! It’s going to be a lot of fun!
What would you be doing if you weren’t an artist?
If I weren’t a visual artist, I would make music; if it wasn’t anything art-related, omg idk that’s a very good question, lol. I can’t think of anything else but something art-related.
Best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
Better to ask for forgiveness than permission.
As a creative, where do you seek inspiration in your day-to-day life?
I try to find inspiration from everything that surrounds me: my friends, stories on the street, music, my culture, and the amazing work of my peers. I love to have coffee table books and comics around me.
What’s one thing people don’t know about you?
That I’m actually colorblind.
Real life or the Metaverse?
Real life, lol.
